Over the years Mark Carman has written, produced, performed, or promoted more than twenty-two
hundred recorded songs. His various music and industry talents have been sought and utilized by
some of the biggest names in the entertainments business including; Alabama, George Jones, Billy
Walker, Shenandoah, Heartland, Billy Joe Royal, Walt Disney World, The Nashville Network, and a
long list of others. For decades Mark has stayed in the background and worked behind the scenes
applying his experience, talent, and industry knowledge to the benefit of scores of entertainment
artist, corporations, and record companies. Finally, after all these years, Mark has decided to step
into the limelight and share his talent with the world.

Mark Carman is a brilliant composer and lyricist, a superb musician, an exceptional vocalist and a
skillful, polished performer. He delivers a song with the emotion and feeling that only the author
could. He has a God-given ability to paint a picture with song and draw the listener in so that the
message comes across as if it were experiencing it first hand.

Although the majority of Mark’s career has been spent working in secular music, his roots are in
Southern Gospel. As the son of a Baptist minister he grew up like so many other great artists,
singing in church. At the age of ten he began playing piano and within a matter of only a few weeks
was playing at a remarkably high skill level. By age fourteen he was playing piano on recording
sessions and appearing live with some of the most prolific Christian artists of the twentieth century.

After spending nearly three decades in country music Mark made the decision to retire from music.
After only a short while, he began to feel a bit of emptiness, as if something were left undone.
Looking back at all of his accomplishments, there remained what he calls a “Yeah, But”. In other
words, “Yeah, I’ve done many great things in my life, But….”  One afternoon in the summer of 2007,
while riding on a golf cart with a friend, he became overwhelmed with the notion of being the
“wretch” that was saved buy Amazing Grace”. That simple phrase led to composition of the song
which delivers that profound message in a truthful and personal way, “I’m A Wretch, That’s been
saved by Amazing Grace” Mark soon recognized that the emptiness he was feeling was the call of
God compelling him to give back some what had been so richly blessed with. So much for
retirement, God had something entirely different in mind. Now experience the Gospel According
